The 2010 Mere Brow Giant Pumpkin competition marks the 16th year of the event and, as always, we will be striving to have a fantastic day and raise as much money as possible for charity. Last year we raised £1342.50 for the North West Air Ambulance.

The 2010 Mere Brow Giant Pumpkin Competition Weigh In
will be held at 2pm Saturday 16th October at:
Gravel farm, Gravel Lane, Banks

All entries to the Giant Pumkin Competition must be on site
before 12:00 am on the day of the competition and moved before 4pm on Sunday.
Any pumpkins remaining after this time will be sold off for charity.

The giant pumpkin competition weigh in will start at 2.00pm. On site catering will be provided and spectators are most welcome. The Mere Brow Giant Pumpkin event comprise 2 seperate competitions:

1. The NFU MUTUAL INSURANCE ALL ENGLAND SHIELD
A competition open to anybody. 1st Prize £50

1. Pumpkins will be judged by weight alone. The heaviest pumpkin in each class being the winner.
2. Pumpkins MUST be in sound condition with no splits, holes, cracks or rot that penetrates the pumpkin wall
3. Each pumpkin grower may only enter two pumpkins
4. Each pumpkin grower must attend the weigh in
5. Any person entering a pumpkin must have grown the pumpkin themselves
6. Pumpkin growers may grow as many plants as they wish, indoor or outdoors.
